Trial Balance basics
Trial Balance is the accountant's first stop in a review. Use it to spot misposted journals quickly.
01Run the report
- 1Open Reports → Trial Balance.
- 2Pick the as-of date.
- 3Run.
02Spot anomalies
Look at debit / credit sub-totals — they should match exactly.
Drill any account that looks suspicious to see the underlying journals and their source documents.
